PyeongChang Winter Olympics 2018 - Countdown Begins
The world is eagerly waiting for Winter Olympics 2018 to be held at the beautiful South Korean county - PyeongChang. Situated in the Gangwon province of South Korea, PyeongChang was elected as the venue for prestigious 2018 Winter Olympics by leaving behind Annecy (France) and Munich (Germany). The theme song for the event will be 'LOUDER' by a popular Korean singer Taeyang.

PyeongChang 2018 Olympics Venue, Infrastructure, and Preparation
With a motto of 'passion,' 'connected,' a total of 92 countries are expected to compete in 102 gold medal events in 15 sports of this Olympics. The official venue for the opening and closing ceremony has been planned to be the PyeongChang Olympic Stadium. Around 14 to 15 venues have been planned to organize different disciplines of this Winter Olympics. Tickets for Winter Olympics 2018
The ticket price for Winter Olympics 2018 ranges between US$17 to US$776. As more than 69 percent tickets have been already sold, the ticket prices for the opening and closing ceremony ranges between US$190 to US$1293. To encourage more number of audiences during the Olympic events, around half of the tickets have been priced US$69 or less.
Doping Controversy and Russian Olympic Committee
International Olympic Committee (IOC) has suspended the Russian Olympic Committee from PyeongChang 2018 Olympics due to violations of Olympic drug regulations. However, IOC has clarified that no Russian athlete would be barred from Olympics if the athlete has not violated drug rules in the past and has a consistent drug testing history. As Russian Olympic Committee has been suspended, the allowed Russian athletes cannot use Russian flag or anthem in Olympics 2018 and can compete as Olympic Athlete from Russia (OAR) under the Olympic flag.
