US Athletes to Watch Out for in Winter Olympics 2018

The Team United States has started their Olympics journey for 2018 Winter Olympics to be held in PyeongChang, South Korea. Starting 9th February, the US Olympic team is participating with 242 members. The team will compete in all the 15 Olympic events and consists of 107 women and 135 men athletes. Starting in 1924 Winter Olympics in Chamonix, France, the United States Olympic team will take part in its 23rd appearance in Winter Olympics.

Cross-country Skiing

11 women and 9 men athletes are going to represent the United States in the Cross-country Skiing event in coming Winter Olympics. Jessica Diggins, Kikkan Randall, and Sadie Bjornsen are likely to excel to their career best in 2018 Olympics after a successful World cup season in Finland in November 2017.

In Freestyle Skiing, the US team has been divided into four sections - Aerials, Halfpipe, Moguls, and Slopestyle. 2014 Winter Olympics silver medalist Gus Kenworthy and Maddie Bowman will be the players that all the skiing lovers would definitely watch out for. 


Ski Jumping

The US Olympic Ski Jumping team consist of four men and three women athletes. The men athletic team will take part in all the three events - Normal Hill, Large Hill, and Team Large Hill. However, the women athletic team will compete only in the Normal Hill Ski Jumping event. Michael Glasder and Sarah Hendrickson are the players to watch out for in Winter Olympic 2018 events.

Ice Hockey

The 23 member US Women Hockey team is ready for PyeongChang Winter Olympics. The United States team is a prime contestant for Winter Olympics gold medal and has qualified for the Olympics by standing first in IIHF World Ranking for the 2016 season. Top scorer for the US, the most talented forward Brianna Decker will be the center of attraction again in the Ice Hockey ground.
