Tokyo Olympics Venue, Infrastructure, and Preparation

The old Olympic Stadium was decided to be demolished in 2012 and the New National Stadium came up to host the Olympics 2020 ceremonies. This stadium can accommodate between 60,000 to 80,000 spectators depending upon the type of sports event. Aiming at providing all the necessary facilities to the athletes and sports lovers within the planned budget, the majority of the venues have been decided within 4.97 miles (8 kilometers) radius of Olympics Village. From a total of 33 venues, 28 venues are within this radius and the Japanese Olympics committee has also planned 11 new venues to be built.

For easy transportation during the Olympic games, the Japanese Government has planned to expand slots at Narita International Airport and Haneda Airport. Also, the Japan Government has decided on expanding the Tokyo railway station and building a direct railway line between these airports. Moreover, Japan's telecom company NTT DoCoMo along with Finland's Nokia to provide a 5G-ready network in Japan during the Summer Olympics for all time everywhere high-speed connectivity.

Tickets for Summer Olympics 2020

The average ticket price for Summer Olympics 2020 would be around 7,700 Japanese Yen (approximately US$72). Though the price would be around 30,000 Yen (Approx. US$282) for the finals of popular events like Swimming and Athletics, it was decided that close to 60% of the total Olympics tickets will be available for 4,400 Yen (Approx. US$41) or less. However, the ticket price for the opening and closing ceremonies will range between 25,000 Yen (Approx. US$235) to 1,50,000 Yen (Approx. US$1407). Sports lovers can buy tickets from around 40,000 shops in Japan and from various online portals.
